Even with a 'second string', Chelsea should have far too much for Reading, who were thrashed 3-0 on their visit to Burnley. Reading won't be pushovers, but their squad is stretched to breaking point and former Brentford frontman Nicky Forster is the only fit striker in the squad. Chelsea may well rest several key players in view of the weekend fixture against Leeds, but will still include players of unquestionable attacking quality such as Hasselbaink, Gudjohnsen and Gronkjaer, all of whom who started in the previous round's fixture against Notts County.
