Despite Alan Pardew being odds on favourite to take over the post, I believe he will not become the next manager of West Ham. He breached the terms of his contract at Reading when he walked out and if his former club make a complaint then he could find himself unable to take up another job for two years. This is, of course, all speculation, at the moment, but I think it is in our best interest to assume he WILL NOT be taking over from Trevor Brooking at Upton Park. Brooking has stated he does not want to remain at the helm for any great length of time which suggests the board will have to bring in a replacement sooner rather than later and the Pardew situation could drag on for months.
