There is no way Arsenal should be odds on to win a tough match in Russia. The Gunners go into the game without midfield powerhouses Patrick Vieira and Fredrik Ljungberg while Sol Campbell and the non-flying Dennis Bergkamp also miss out. While they may excel domestically, Arsenal's recent record in Europe is poor and their last trip to Moscow resulted in a 4-1 drubbing by Lokomotiv's rivals Spartak. In four meetings Arsenal have only ever beaten Russian opposition once, when Thierry Henry scored the only goal in a 1-0 home win over Spartak Moscow in 2001. Remember, this match kicks off at 5.30pm. |
