We successfully laid Arsenal this midweek and there is a good opportunity to make another profit from their clash away at Liverpool. The last three fixtures featuring these two sides at Anfield have produced three goals or more and I'm predicting more of the same for tomorrow. Liverpool's defence is starting to ship a few goals as displayed during their calamatous 3-2 defeat at Charlton but Michael Owen is also in sparkling form at the other end of the pitch. Arsenal were poor again midweek but they never transfer their obvious domestic superiority into Europe competition. Arsenal created a number of chances in the first half against Lokomotic Moscow and Thierry Henry will fancy his chances against an uncertain Liverpool rearguard. Even though Arsene Wenger's side will again be without Vieria, Ljungberg and Bergkamp there is enough attacking talent to score goals. This match is traditionally a cagey affair in the first half with the second producing goals, but as Arsenal are missing two influential midfielders it could give Liverpool license to get forward early on and test the visitors' resolve. |
