Ipswich have signed Kevin Horlock to add some depth to their midfield while former Wigan defender Jason De Vos adds some steel to what was a leaky defence last season. In teenager Dean Bowditch they have a classy prospect as a hat-trick against Watford last season proved.Opponents Gillingham will find it tough this season, but they have recruited two more capable strikers in Darren Byfield and Iwan Roberts than those responsible for scoring goals last season.Elsewhere, if Rangers have any aspirations to win the title off arch rivals Celtic, a winning start is a must. They have far more capable players this time around and recruiting Nacho Novo and Dado Prso were shrewd transfer moves. The Gers will also have a far more physical presence on the pitch this time around with the likes of Jean-Alain Boumsong, Alex Rae and Marvin Andrews wearing the shirt. Meanwhile, opponents Aberdeen have signed former Leeds striker Noel Whelan, who struggled to make an impact in Division One last season, on a one-year contract. |

| Bet Reaction: | | | A disappointing result in which Rangers could only muster a goalless draw at Pittodrie, thus rendering the bet a loser before Ipswich came from behind to beat Gillingham. | |
